Welding

CCCTC Adult Education Welding Program is BACK!!!!!!
Whether you are looking to advance yourself through pursuing a career in manufacturing, construction, or fabrication- training and earning AWS credentials will open up your opportunities for better jobs, higher pay, and advanced career roles.
This welding  program is a mix of lecture, hybrid classroom and hands-on training in our welding lab. Each student will train using SMAW and TIG processes, MIG and Flux core welding techniques, as well as learn field and shop safety, pipe fitting skills, and basic blueprint reading. Upon successful completion of the program, students will have the opportunity to sit for AWS credentials.

Classes will meet two nights a week in person and two days of hybrid online training through our learning management system.  


Curriculum will include:
  1. Intro to Welding
  2. Welding Safety/OSHA
  3. Welding Symbols
  4. Welding Math
  5. Blueprint Reading
  6. MIG/TIG Welding

Employment Opportunities Include:

-Welder, Fabricator, Laborer

Length of Program:

2 semesters, 300 hours each semester as scheduled.

 

Dates and Times:

New Student Orientation:   TBA
Fall Semester:   September 9, 2024
Spring Semester: January 13, 2025 
Two evenings a week in person 5-9pm & Two days hybrid

Credentials you will be eligible to earn:

- State of Ohio Vocational Certificate

-AWS Certifications
As a minimum requirement all CCCTC Adult Education programs require students to hold a High School Diploma or GED.  See Handbook (under helpful links & forms) for specific admission requirements.

 

Students are offered instruction on using specific computer applications needed for all programs.  However, it is helpful for students to be familiar with use of a personal computer to navigate computer applications used in all CCCTC Adult Education programs.

 

The  CCCTC Student Consumer Handbook has all of the specific information regarding programs at CCCTC.
